LG G3 set to land on AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile

There was already some information floating about that indicates that the upcoming LG G3 will arrive on Verizon and T-Mobile, but now AT&T has been added to the list of stateside carriers. The info comes, as always, from @evleaks, who has dropped the LG D850 model number via Twitter.

While @evleaks mentions nothing about the G3, instead mentioning that the D800 was the LG G2, the D820 was the Nexus 5 and the D830 was the G Pro 2, it looks pretty certain that the D850/851 is indeed the hotly anticipated follow up to the hugely successful G2. So far there are three model number visible: the D850 on AT&T, the D851 on T-Mobile and the VS985 on Verizon.
At this point, the launch date for the G3 looks to be in mid-June, but keep in mind the G2 launched in August last year, so it's really anybody's guess. The availability of the latest SoC from Qualcomm may well dictate that launch date, as the G3 is expected to debut with a 2K display, 3 GB of RAM and a quad-core Snapdragon 805. Then again, the Galaxy S5 was expected to ship with those specs too and came in with a grand total of none of them so sprinkle a little salt on these rumors as always.
When do you think the LG G3 will launch? Do you think it will feature the premium specs listed above?

  2. One release date doing the rounds is May 17, a date which comes from Korean site asiae.co.kr, which in turn heard it from "industry sources." It may be slightly cheaper than direct rivals.
