Reports keep coming in about how Apple is running into production issues
with the iWatch, but since there is no planned release window known
yet, the reports don't really mean much right now. But, regardless of
when the iWatch is scheduled to hit the market, designers are going to
keep wondering what they will look like. A new set of concept renders
give the iWatch a decidedly iPhone-like look.
The
renders were made by graphic designer Martin Hajek, who has a history of
putting together concept renders of rumored Apple devices. It's not
hard to see where Martin got his inspiration either. You really don't
have to look past the names - iWatch S and iWatch C - to figure it out.
The only thing that we would say is that it seems unrealistic for Apple
to be building a device that will likely launch around the same time as
the iPhone 6, but would take its design inspiration from the iPhone 5s
and 5c.
Overall, the designs look good with
curved displays and nice leather straps for the iWatch S. We would have
preferred to see the designs feature swappable wristbands, and we are
interested to see what designers imagine for the UI of the software
itself; but, in the end we'd say Mr. Hajek did a solid job.
