How to make your Android look like it's running iOS 7

How to make your Android look like it's running iOS 7If you want to test drive the new iOS 7 looks, and learn firsthand why hardcore iPhone users are grumbling against it, as with anything that's radically different from the past, you don't have to get an iOS device.

Your Android phone can be transformed to look like a big-screen iOS 7 gear with just a couple of applications now, mainly from Espier Studio, that you don't even have to sideload. The apps include an iOS 7-style lock screen, launcher, notifications and control panel, as well as a dialer and contacts app that look exactly like on iPhone.

Granted, KitKat comes with a great dialer now, and there are plenty of other choices at the Play Store, but if you want the latest work of Jony Ive's design team, yet with Android's functionality like home and lockscreen widgets, check out the apps below. Bear in mind, though, that you'll have to shell out for the full ad-free iOS 7 experience, as not all features are present in the free app versions.

Make your Android look like it's running iOS 7 with this app suite

1. Espier Launcher 7 (1.2.6)

The iOS 7-style launcher has dynamic clock, calendar and titles color that changes with the wallpaper hue. If you want to see how iOS 7 would look like with widgets on the homescreens, you'd have to get the Pro version of this launcher, though.

2. iOS 7 Lockscreen Parallax HD

The simple lock screen of iOS 7 can be had on your Android with this app, you get the flat style lock screen with the parallax effect to boot, the camera launcher, sliding to unlock and passcode. If you want notifications to be showed on the lock screen, you'd have to download the paid Screenocker 7, and use the Notifications 7 app that follows.

3. Notification 7 (1.2.4)

If you like the ingenious way to move between notifications in the iOS 7 pull-down status bar, Notification 7 will give you that, but with an Android twist, letting you change the background (only in the Pro version), and install different notification widgets in the status bar.

4. Control Center 7 (1.2.3)

Apple-style connectivity toggles, music player management and frequently used apps can be placed in Control Center. The Pro version is needed only if you insist on a customized background.

5. Dialer 7 (1.0.0)

The contacts list is in Apple's flat iOS 7 style. For incoming/outgoing call interfaces in the same style, too, you'll have to, you guessed it, upgrade to the Pro version.
