All three devices will come with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and will be upgraded to 4.4 KitKat. The devices will also come in many different colors; the ZenFone 4 will come in 6 different colors and the others in 4. These devices also feature the new ZenUI, the company’s new user interface.
ASUS Padfone mini
Also announced was the ASUS Padfone mini. The little brother to the newly announced Padfone X, this is a lower-end smartphone that fits into its own, smaller tablet dock to act as two devices. It’s the same concept, but taken down a few notches to be cheaper.
The ASUS Padfone mini smartphone has a 4-inch 800×480 display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage with a microSD slot, an 8MP camera and a 1,170 mAh battery. The tablet dock it goes into has a 7-inch 1280×800 display and a 2,100 mAh battery built in. These devices will come in a variety of colors, but have no price tag or release date as of yet.
